PRINCETON (12/12/10) - The Princeton women's basketball team looks to snap Lafayette's three-game win streak and continue its own when it hosts the Leopards on Monday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., at Jadwin Gym.

Princeton holds a slim three-game lead over Lafayette in the all-time series, 21-18. The series began in 1972 with the Leopards winning a 35-34 game. The Tigers won last year's match 80-47, ending a two-game streak for the Leopards in the series. Lafayette and Princeton have one common opponent, FDU with Lafayette winning by 14 and Princeton winning by 41.
Princeton is 6-2 overall and has won the last three games including an 87-45 game over Navy on Friday. The Tigers look to continue their home win streak, which stands at 12 straight games. The Tigers are shooting 43.2 percent from the floor, scoring 69.6 points per game, while holding teams to 36.9 percent and 54 points per game. Princeton shoots 39.7 percent from long range and 74.8 percent from the stripe. Three players are in double digits in scoring, led by the 2010 Ivy League Rookie of the Year Niveen Rasheed. Rasheed averages 16.8 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. She also leads the team in assists with 19 and assists with 26. Senior Addie Micir and junior Devona Allgood are both averaging 12.1 points per game. Micir is the team's top three-point shooter, draining 24 of 54 on the season. Allgood leads the team in blocks with 12 and is second on the team in rebounds with 6.9 per game.
Lafayette enters the game on a three-game win streak and is 5-5 overall. This is the Leopards third game in five games after defeating Manhattan 53-50 on Thursday and La Salle on Saturday 60-51. Lafayette has used a different starting five in each of its nine games. LaKeisha Wright leads the team in scoring with 12.0 points per game and recently scored her 1,000th career points. She adds 5.1 rebounds per game, while dishing out a team-best 20 assists. Lauren Jackson chips in 8.3 points per game and leads the team in steals with 12. Danielle Fiacco is the team leader on the glass wtih 7.3 rebounds per game and a team-high 24 blocks, while adding 6.2 points per game. Forty-eight of Alicia Manning's 55 points have come from behind the arc, as she contributes 6.1 points per game. Lafayette is shooting 35.9 percent from the floor, 28.3 percent from long range and 73.6 percent from the free-throw line.
