Dec. 9 TigerCast: Niveen Rasheed and Mike Kramer
December 09, 2010 | General, Men's Ice Hockey, Women's Basketball
Niveen Rasheed, the reigning Ivy League women's basketball Rookie of the Year, and Mike Kramer, one of the top scorers for the Princeton men's hockey team, are the guests for the latest edition of TigerCast.
Rasheed, a 6-0 sophomore who has already scored more than 500 career points, was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after leading Princeton to a dominant win over Rider this past weekend. She has averaged more than 15 points per game in her career and has been a key figure in the Tigers' success since the day she stepped on campus. With the Ivy League season still a month away, Rasheed talks about the beginning of her career and where Princeton needs to go to move forward heading into 2011.
Kramer entered the season with more than 50 points in his career, and he has been one of the top scorers for a hockey team that has won six of its last eight games. He was a freshman when Princeton won the 2008 ECAC title, and now he is looking to end his career in similar fashion. Kramer talks about the several highs of his time at Princeton and how he has enjoyed the dual role of both scorer and leader on the current team.
