PRINCETON (12/9/10) - The Princeton women's basketball team will host two Patriot League teams over the next four days. First up, Navy comes to town on Friday, Dec. 10 for a 7 p.m., game.
The game will be webstreamed live on GoPrincetonTigers.tv for subscribers. Fans can also listen to the live play-by-play by Princeton's broadcaster Derek Jones and follow live stats free of charge.
Princeton is 5-2 on the season and most recently took a 42-point game from Rider on Sunday afternoon. Three players are scoring in double figures led by Niveen Rasheed. Rasheed is scoring 16.1 points per game and also leads the team on the glass with 8.0 boards per game. In addition, she has a team-high 22 assists and 15 steals. Senior Addie Micir adds 12.6 points per game and has hit 23 three-pointers this season and is shooting 100 percent from the line. Junior Devona Allgood is scoring 11.9 points per game and is second on the team in rebounds with 6.7 boards per game. She also leads the team in blocks with 11 and is second in steals with 11. Princeton is shooting a clip of 41.9 percent from the floor, 39.1 percent from behind the arc and 74.7 percent from the free-throw line. The squad has a +16.0 scoring margin averaging 69 points per game while holding teams to 53.Navy is 4-1 in the series with Princeton. The teams haven't played each other since the 2000-01 season when the Mids won a 67-45 game. The Tigers lone win in the series came in 1991, an 81-61 victory.
Navy is 5-4 on the season and went over the .500 mark on Wednesday with a 63-46 win over Mt. St. Mary's at home. Three plays score in double digits for the Mids, led by Angela Myers.
