Women's Hoops, Men's Hockey Earn Top Billing In TigerCast
February 04, 2010 | Men's Ice Hockey, Women's Basketball
With important home weekends for both the women's basketball and men's ice hockey teams, TigerCast welcomes Courtney Banghart and Dan Bartlett for its latest edition.
Banghart, in her third season as the head coach of the Princeton women's basketball team, has led the Tigers on a brilliant 15-2 start this season. The lone unbeaten in Ivy play, Princeton hosts a pair of one-loss Ivy teams in Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend. Banghart talks about the incredible season of freshman Niveen Rasheed, the unsung heroes in the fast start and the challenges that lay ahead over the next 48 hours.
Bartlett, who leads Princeton with 14 goals this season, helped the men's hockey team to a big weekend sweep at Harvard and Dartmouth. The Tigers are bunched up in the ECAC standings and will look to move forward this weekend when it hosts Colgate and the fifth-ranked Cornell Big Red. Bartlett talks about the importance of getting hot as the team looks for a third straight memorable postseason.
