Softball Splits Twinbill with Santa Clara

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Much of Saturday was a waiting game for the Princeton softball team, which ended up splitting a doubleheader with Santa Clara to open the spring trip.
While Princeton was originally scheduled for a 9 a.m. start to Saturday's play, the games were pushed back several hours as the field recovered from rain prior to the event.
The final score of both games against the Broncos was 8-6, with Santa Clara winning the first game and Princeton the second. The Tigers will face San Jose State Sunday with a scheduled start of 2 p.m. Pacific Time.
