Princeton Earns 11 Seed and Faces St. John's in NCAA Tournament

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/15/10) - The Princeton women's basketball team has been chosen as a No. 11 seed in the 2010 NCAA Tournament and will face No. 6 seed St. John's in Tallahassee, Fla., in the first round. The teams will tip off on Saturday, March 20 at 12:21 p.m., on ESPN 2.
This is the highest seed an Ivy League team has ever received in the tournament.
Princeton is 26-2 overall and earned the Ivy League automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after going undefeated, 14-0, in the league. This is Princeton's first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
The winner will move on to the second round and face the winner of the (3) Florida State / (14) Louisana Tech. That game is slated for Monday, March 22 with a game time still to be determined.
