Thirty Tigers Earn All-Ivy Honors in Indoor Track & Field

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/2/10) - Thirty members of the Princeton track and field teams were named All-Ivy League selections and earned 39 it was announced by the Ivy League office on Tuesday, March 2.
The Tigers swept the 2010 Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal with titles for both the men and women's teams.
Eight members of the women's team were named First-Team All-Ivy League. They include: Ashley Higginson (mile), Tory Worthen (pole vault), Thanithia Billings (weight throw) and Greta Feldman, Alexis Mikaelian, Brooke Russell and Libby Bliss as members of the 4x800 relay team. Earning double first-team honors was Reilly Kiernan who won the 3000 and 5000.
Three more earned second-team honors including double honoree Alex Banfich who finished second in both the mile and 3000. Eileen Moran and KC Wade were also named second-team in the 200 and high jump, respectively.
A record 13 members of the men's team were named First-Team All-Ivy. Austin Hollimon, Trevor Van Ackeren and Peter Callahan were double first-team honorees. Hollimon won the 400 and was part of the 4x400, while Van Ackeren won the mile and was on the 4x800 along with Callahan who also won the 800. Other first-team honorees include: Russell Dinkins (500), Ian Fox (high jump), David Slovenksi (pole vault), Eric Plummer (shot put), Craig Pearce (weight throw), Sebastian Steffen, Ricky Kearney and Mike Eddy in the 4x400 and Jeff Carbonella and Michael Palmisano in the 4x800.
On top of earning first-team honors, Eddy and Dinkins also received second-team honors in the 500 and distance medley relay respectively.
Kyle Soloff and Donn Cabral both received double second-team honors. Soloff finished second in the 1000 and was on the distance medley, while Cabral was second in the 3000 and 5000.
Also taking home second-team honors were Justin Frick (high jump), Chad Faulkner (pole vault), Mark Amirault and Matt Gonzalez in the distance medley.
