Geoff Faux Makes NCAA Championship Debut In 50 Free
March 26, 2010 | Men's Swimming and Diving
Princeton junior Geoff Faux, who helped the 25th-ranked men's swimming and diving team to the 2010 Ivy League title, made his NCAA Championship debut in the 50 free Friday afternoon at Ohio State. Faux' preliminary swim of 20.33 wasn't fast enough to qualify for the championship session.
Faux ended up placing 50th overall in the 50 free, which was his only event at the 2010 NCAA meet. The junior will be one of the top contenders to qualify for the 2011 NCAA Championships when the Tigers return next season to defend their 2009 and 2010 Ivy League titles.
Princeton ended its season with a perfect 7-0 record and won the Ivy League Championships during a three-day meet at Princeton's own DeNunzio Pool.
