Baseball Team Swept in Doubleheader by Penn

Game 1 (Box Score)
Penn jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the game. Jeremy Maas hit a leadoff double and Tom Grandieri hit a two-run homer to give the Quakers a lead they would not relinquish.
Penn expanded the lead with a five-run fifth before Princeton plated its lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Penn added a single run in the seventh for the 8-1 final.
Grandieri led all players with three hits and also added three runs. Adrian Lorenzo had two hits and drove in three. For Princeton, Andrew Whitener led the team with two hits and he scored Princeton's only run, scoring on a sac fly from Noel Gonzales-Luna.
Chris McNulty allowed one runs on five hits for the win, while Zak Hermans surrendered seven runs in five innings for the loss.
Game 2 (Box Score)
Penn starter John Beasley, who carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and a one-hitter into the eighth, finished with the win as the Quakers completed the doubleheader sweep with a 14-3 win in the nightcap.
After three scoreless innings, Penn went ahead with three runs in the fourth inning as Will Davis and Emilio Pastor drove in runs. The Quakers made it 5-0 with two runs in the sixth inning. Steve Gable doubled in a run and Pastor drove in his second of the game.
Penn broke the game open with six runs in the seventh as Gordon and Gable each drove in two runs with doubles. Penn added three runs in the eighth as well. Maas added a run with a lead-off homer and Gordon hit a two-run shot.
Princeton scored all three of its runs in the eighth inning as singles from Steve Harrington and John Mishu, plus a groundout by Gonzales-Luna plated the Tiger runs.
Beasley went seven-plus innings for the win and surrendered three runs on three hits. Connor broke up the no-hit bid with a one-out single in the sixth inning.
Langford Stuber took the loss for Princeton, allowing eight runs in six innings.

Princeton falls to 10-27 with the loss and 5-11 in the Ivy League. The Tigers visit Rider on Wednesday.
