Hermans Named Ivy Baseball Co-Rookie of the Week

Hermans earned his first collegiate win with six scoreless innings in the win. He allowed four hits and one walk in the game while striking out six batters. After allowing two hitters to reach in the first inning, Hermans set down the next 10 batters he faced and only let two more batters reach base over the remainder of the game. The shutout performance allowed Hermans to lower his ERA by nearly three runs.
Hermans and the Tigers get back to their Ivy League schedule this weekend with divisional cross over games against the Rolfe Division. Princeton is at Brown on Saturday and visits Yale on Sunday. The Tigers are 2-2 in the Gehrig Division and sit a game behind Penn and Columbia, which both went 3-1 last weekend.
