Sherry Named to U.S. Under-22 Select Team

PRINCETON (6/18/10) - Rising senior defenseman Sasha Sherry has been named to the 2010 U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team. The team will compete at the USA Hockey Women's National Festival in Lake Placid in mid-August, and then travel to Toronto to play a three-game series against the Canadian U-22 team.
Sherry will play in her second U-22 series with Canada after also playing for the U.S. in the event in 2008. She also attended the U.S. Women's Festival last summer and was a member of the U.S. National Under-18 Team that won gold at the IIHF U-18 Championships during her freshman season at Princeton.
Sherry is a three-time All-Ivy and All-ECAC selection at Princeton. She earned first-team honors from both leagues as a sophomore and also became Princeton's first All-America, garnering second team honors that season. Sherry has collected 16 goals and 39 assists for 55 points in 88 games on the Tiger blueline.
