June 22, 2010 | Football
Beautiful Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield will serve as the host for the 19th annual Princeton Football Association Golf Classic and Fundraiser, scheduled for August 2nd. Former Tiger greats Doug Butler '86 and Anthony DiTommaso '86 will be honored during the celebration, which will conclude with a team review from new head coach Bob Surace '90.
You can find registration information by clicking on the brochure above, or you can register online by clicking here. Directions and course layout for Echo Lake Country Club, host of two past USGA Championship events, can be found here.
The day will begin at 10 a.m. with registration and practice time at either the driving range or putting green. Since the outing is limited to only 144 golfers, early pre-registration is recommended. A hot lunch will be served at 11 a.m., and foursomes will be sent out for a 12:15 shotgun start. Cocktail hour will begin at 5 p.m., with dinner and the team presentation starting at 6. The golf prizes will be awarded at that time, and the fundraising auction will also be held.
Butler and DiTommaso, both of whom will celebrate their 25th reunion this coming year, will be honored for their incredible careers in Orange and Black. Butler holds most major passing records at Princeton, including career yards (7,291), career completions (542) and career touchdowns (47). DiTommaso was a two-time first-team All-Ivy linebacker and was the co-captain for a 1985 team that finished second in the Ivy League.
