Tigers Send Eight to USTA Men's College Invitational

PRINCETON -- Eight Princeton men's tennis players will head to the USTA Tennis Center in Queens for a weekend tournament involving players from nearly 20 schools from Boston to Washington as the fall season continues.
Depending on how the draws play out, the tournament could provide a good test against Ivy foes for the Tigers. Seven of the eight Ivies are sending players to the tournament, with Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale represented.
Play will begin Friday at 9 a.m. with the first round of doubles and continue with singles in the afternoon. The tournament will continue through Sunday.
The Tigers are coming off of their annual home tournament, the Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational, where the doubles team of Alex Faust and Yohei Shoji won its doubles flight last weekend. The pair was rewarded with the top seed in the "B" doubles flight this weekend, one of three Princeton doubles teams that received one of the top two seeds in its flight.
