Men's Water Polo Rallies to Edge Navy 7-6

The game was tied at three at the half but Princeton founds itself down 6-3 in the third quarter before mounting the comeback. The Tigers closed the score to 6-4 at the end of the third quarter and then added three more in the fourth quarter for the win.
Chris Cottrell made the score 6-5 with a goal that was a carbon copy of his game-winning goal at Easterns last season against Navy. Tim Wenzlau then evened the score on a counter goal with 3:32 left and scored the game winner on a lob shot with 18 seconds remaining.
Wenzlau and Matt Hale each scored two goals in the win with Cottrell, Tommy Donahie and A.J. Galainena adding single goals. Mike Merlone made five saves in goal for his second win of the day. Princeton finished the game converting on three of its seven man-up chances.
The win was Princeton's second of the day after an overtime triumph at Johns Hopkins on Saturdya afternoon. Princeton is now 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the CWPA Southern Division. The Tigers complete their weekend tomorrow afternoon at 12 noon at George Washington.
