Men's Water Polo Completes Three-Win Weekend with 13-9 Win at GW

The difference in Sunday's game was the second quarter as Princeton lengthened its one goal lead to four goals and kept the Colonials off the scoreboard for the full eight minutes. Princeton led 4-3 after a quarter, but took a four-goal margin into halftime and held that through the remaining 16 minutes.
Helou was one of eight Tigers to score in the win. Chris Cottrell and Tommy Donahue each added two goals five others scored once. Mike Merlone made 11 saves before Ben Dearnborn played the final 1:43 and made two more saves.
Princeton was three for four with the extra man, while George Washington scored on seven of 11 extra man chances.
Princeton is now 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the CWPA Southern Division. The Tigers take a break from league play next weekend to compete at the SoCal Tournament. Princeton will open the event against UCLA.
