Men's Tennis to Begin ITA Regional Friday

Nine members of the Princeton men's tennis team are in Ithaca, N.Y. this weekend for the ITA Northeast Regional hosted by Cornell.
Six Tigers will play in the main singles draw, which begins Friday. Matija Pecotic, Matt Spindler and Augie Bloom are all seeded and will have a bye to Saturday, while Zack McCourt, Dan Richardson and Matt Siow will play Round of 128 matches Friday. Opponents for Richardson and Siow will be decided through Thursday's qualification draw, a bracket that does not include any Princeton players.
Pecotic is the singles flight's No. 2 seed, while Spindler is seeded 14th and Bloom 17th.
Bloom, Siow and Spindler will also compete in the doubles draw beginning Friday, as will Dan Davies, Michael Lin and Yohei Shoji. The Lin/Shoji and Siow/Spindler teams are in a range of duos seeded ninth in the 64-pair draw.
