Men's Golf Heads to Big Five Event
October 06, 2011 | Men's Golf
The busy fall season for the Princeton men's golf team continues this weekend when the Tigers head to the Big Five Invitational outside Philadelphia.
In addition to the "City Six" teams of Drexel, La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Villanova, Princeton will line up against Binghamton, Brown, Campbell, Cornell, Dartmouth, Fordham, Francis Marion, Furman, George Mason, Harvard, Navy, Seton Hall, St. John's, and Towson, Yale. That list includes seven of the eight Ivies with the exception of Columbia.
The event will feature one round each Saturday and Sunday at Plymouth Country Club outside Philadelphia and will be Princeton's penultimate tournament of the fall before heading to Rhode Island next weekend.
This will be Princeton's fourth appearance in the Big Five event after playing in the tournament in 2007, 2009 and 2010. Princeton tied for second in 2007 and third in 2010.
