Men's Golf Finishes 13th at Big 5 Invitational

NORRISTOWN, Pa. -- The Princeton men's golf team finished in a tie for 13th place in the 22-team field at the Big 5 Invitational at Plymouth Country Club outside Philadelphia, wrapping the two-round event Sunday afternoon.
Tiger newcomer Rob Owen led the team with a 2-over 72 Sunday to finish the tournament at +5 and tie for ninth place on the individual leaderboard. Francis Marion's Sebastian Backlund won medalist honors at -2, edging Dartmouth's Peter Williamson by one shot as the only two players in red numbers for the weekend.
Dartmouth won the team title at +18, six shots in front of Campbell in a field that included seven of the eight Ivy programs. Princeton's complete results are below, and results for all teams can be found via Golfstat here.
The Tigers will conclude their fall season next weekend at the Classic at Shelter Harbor hosted by the University of Rhode Island.
