Allgood Captures Ivy League Player of the Week Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/14/11) - Junior post Devona Allgood of the Princeton women's basketball team was named the Ivy League Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday, Feb 14.
Allgood led Princeton in scoring and rebounding as the Tigers had a 2-0 week. On Saturday, Allgood posted a career-high 22 points in Princeton's 65-43 win over Cornell. She shot an incredible 8-for-9 from the field, to improve on her league leading field goal percentage. Allgood added a game-high eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. As Princeton started the game on a 17-5 run, Allgood had seven of her team's points. She also ended Princeton's nearly six minute scoring drought in the first half. Allgood scored the first four points of the second half to put the Tigers back up by six, 27-21 less than two minutes in and would have 10 of Princeton's 15 points in the first seven minutes, giving her team a 37-28 lead at 12:51. The night before, Allgood had a game-high 13 points, seven rebounds, a block and a steals in Princeton's 57-35 win over Columbia.
