Men's Swim/Dive Earns 27 All-Ivy Honors; Watch Interview With Hanna/Hasler Here
March 11, 2011 | Men's Swimming and Diving
Following its thrilling 5.5-point victory over host Harvard to win the 2011 Ivy League Men's Swimming and Diving, Princeton earned 27 All-Ivy League honors, including 21 first-team selections.
Princeton knocked off the previously unbeaten Crimson by winning 10 of the 21 events and posting a brilliant final session Saturday night to fend off the hard-charging Crimson. Princeton won four relays during the championship weekend, including both medley relays, and had five different Tigers win at least one individual event.
Sophomore Stevie Vines also picked up an extra individual honor; the 3-meter diving champion was named Ivy League Championships Diver of the Meet.
You can see all the All-Ivy honors here; below the charts is a video interview done by swimmingworld.com with senior Colin Hanna and freshman Daniel Hasler, which looks back at both the Ivy League championship meet and the YouTube team video created for Hasler, who was battling illness at the time. The interview was posted on swimmingworld.com Friday.
