Tanya Wilcox scored Princeton's first goal on an ejection but the Tigers trailed 2-1 after the first quarter. Rachele Gyorffy drew Princeton even with a man-up goal early in the second quarter and Princeton either led or the game was tied through half time as the score was even at 5-5 through 16 minutes of play.
The Coyotes regained the lead midway through the third quarter, but Princeton tied the game and then went ahead on goals from Saranna Soroka and Katie Rigler in the final minute of the third quarter. Princeton then outscored CSUSB 4-0 in the final quarter to pull away for the win.
Soroka led all scorers with three goals in the game, scoring twice out of the set and once on an ejection. Rigler had two goals, scoring on a 5-meter shot and off a counter. Sox others added single goals for the Tigers in the win. Grace du Pont played the full game in goal and made nine saves to record the win.
Princeton is now 10-7 overall. The Tigers will face Sonoma State and sixth-ranked Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
