Men's Golf Finishes 10th in Virginia in Spring Opener

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Patrick Wasserman paced the Princeton men's golf team as it moved up three spots to finish 10th at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate tournament hosted by William & Mary at the Kingsmill Resort.
Wasserman and Bernie D'Amato both had major improvements over their Monday scores, Wasserman dropping from a 75 to 68 to finish at -1 and stand tied for fourth overall. D'Amato tied for 45th, shooting a 71 Tuesday after a 79 Monday to stand at +6.
Ryan Vince of James Madison took medalist honors over teammate Chris Wellde and Justin Martinson of Delaware, with all three players finishing at -3 and Vince winning on the third playoff hole. The trio finished two shots in front of nine players at -1, including Wasserman.
Vince's and Wellde's performances helped James Madison win the team title at -4, eight shots in front of Radford in the field of 24 schools.
Greg Jarmas tied for 51st at +7 with a 76 and 75, while Taylor Peck tied for 61st at +9 with his 74 and 79, and Eric Salazar tied for 85th at +13 with his 77 and 80.
Princeton will have the next two weekends away from competition before hosting the Princeton Invitational April 9-10 at Springdale Golf Club.
