Ruggiero Wins Hammer at Monmouth Invite

LONG BRANCH, N.J. (3/26/11) - Senior Emma Ruggiero was the lone member of the Princeton women's track & field team that competed at the Monmouth Invitation on Saturday, March 26.
Ruggiero topped 23 other competitors in the hammer throw. She threw to 56.29 meters (184' 8.25"), her best mark of the season. The runner-up, Monmouth's Symmone Fisher would reach just 54.72 meters (179' 6.25").
Ruggiero will join the rest of the Tigers in hosting the Sam Howell Invitational on April 1-2, at Weaver Stadium.
