Allgood Earns Third Ivy Player of the Week Honor of the Season

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/7/11) - Junior post Devona Allgood of the Princeton women's basketball team earned the final the Ivy League Player of the Week award, it was announced by the league office on Monday, March 7. This is her third Player of the Week honor this season.
Allgood led Princeton to a 2-0 weekend to earn its second consecutive outright Ivy League championship and the League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Allgood averaged 13.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal against Dartmouth and Harvard, recording back-to-back double-doubles.
Against Dartmouth, Allgood scored the game's first four points and finished with a double-double of 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting and 13 rebounds. She also recorded two assists and two blocks. The following night Allgood scored 12 points and 10 rebounds in the most important game for the Tigers this season as Princeton defeated Harvard to clinch the league title outright and punched its ticket to the tournament. She matched her career-high in blocks with six and had two assists and two steals and shut down her counterpart Emma Markley who shot 0 for 7 on the other end.
