Women's Water Polo Rallies for Win over Brown in Regular Season Finale

Princeton defeated Brown by a 12-1 score in the season's opening weekend but this game was tighter. Princeton led 3-2 after a quarter but the Bears scored the only goal of the second quarter to knot the game at the half. Brown then outscored Princeton 2-1 to lead 6-5 after 24 minutes before Princeton overcame the Bears in the final quarter.
Lauren Brunner scored twice in the game, including the game winner in the final quarter with the game tied at 5-5. She also had two steals and drew an ejection in the win. Tanya Wilcox and Brittany Zwirner both scored goals on ejections as Princeton went 2 for 8 with the extra player. Brown scored on its two man-up chances. Both teams missed a 5-meter shot. Kristen Ward made 10 saves in the Princeton goal.
The Tigers complete the regular season with a 16-10 record. Princeton enters the CWPA Eastern Championships at Indiana next weekend and will likely be the tournament's fifth seed. Official seeding and schedule will be announces early this week.
