Princeton Head Coach Chris Sailer
"I thought it was a great effort by both teams. We knew that JMU was a really tough team, and that they battled hard, and that we need to match their energy with our energy, and then some.
"We got off to a fantastic start and then we weathered the storms. We talked about being able to maintain our energy and maintain our toughness through what might happen in the game. Certainly when JMU came back and outscored us 7-1 we didn't fold, we found our rhythm and then just played tough. Down the stretch Touch (goalkeeper Erin Tochihara) made some huge saves. She just picked their pockets and gave us a chance to win the game."
JMU Head Coach Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe
"Unfortunately for us we were a little flat to start. Even though we did a great job of not giving up and fighting back, and getting ourselves back in the game, pretty much all game things weren't really falling for us the way that they have all year. Credit to our team showing that relentless drive to continue to fight, continue to push, continue to believe and make it a game all the way up until the end. We had our chances (to score at the end) with the right people with the ball, and we just couldn't get it in the back of the net.
"I credit Princeton for making the adjustments they made from the first game." (a 10-5 JMU win on March 15)
