Pair of Incoming Baseball Freshmen Selected in MLB Draft

Servais is a switch-hitting catcher/first baseman from Douglas County High School in suburban Denver. His father Scott played 11 seasons in the Major Leagues and is currently the director of player development for the Texas Rangers.
Geren is a right-hand hitting catcher from San Ramon Valley High School in California. His older brother Bobby is a rising sophomore on the Princeton baseball team and was also selected by the Oakland A's out of high school. Their father Bob played six seasons in the Major Leagues and has spent the past 15 seasons coaching and managing in the Minor and Major Leagues, including a four-year stint as the manager in Oakland.
Princeton has now had two incoming freshmen drafted in each of the last two drafts. Along with the Gerens and Servais, rising sophomore Michael Fagan was picked by San Diego in last year's draft.
