August 24, 2011 | Men's Golf
Princeton junior Bernie D'Amato finished his play Wednesday afternoon at the U.S. Amateur at Erin Hills outside Milwaukee, Wis., turning in scores of 75 and 78 through two stroke play rounds.
One of 312 players in the field, D'Amato finished at +11 for the tournament. Following the two rounds of stroke play, those who shot even par or better advanced directly into the 64-player match play bracket, while 20 competitors who finished at +1 entered a playoff for the last four spots in that bracket.
