Bowman, Fagan Receive Summer League Honors; Baseball Summer Wrap

Bowman pitched in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League for the Bethesda Big Train was named the league's Most Outstanding Pitcher and to the All-League Team. He pitched at least seven innings in seven of his eight regular-season starts, en route to a 5-2 record. He allowed a combined two runs in his two losses, just one of which was earned, and pitched to a 0.82 ERA for the season Bowman was also named to the Perfect Game Summer Collegiate All-America Team and was named the fourth best prospect in the Cal Ripken League by Perfect Game.
Fagan was named to the Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team after leading league relievers in strikeouts for the St. Cloud River Bats. The lefty reliever was 3-2 with a 1.95 ERA in 50.2 innings of work. Fagan fanned 81 batters in those 50.2 innings, for a whopping average of 14.38 strikeouts per nine innings. Fagan was ranked by Perfect Game as the 28th prospect in the Northwoods League.

- Nate Baird played in 22 games for the San Diego Waves and batted .246.
- Brett and Bobby Geren both played for the Waimea Waves in the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League. Bobby Batted .227 in 20 starts, while Brett hit .127 in 21 games.
- Mike Ford was 1-3 with a 4.24 ERA in eight starts with the Danbury Westerners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. He also batted .274 with 15 RBIs in 95 at-bats and pitched for the NECBL All-Star Team against the U.S. National Team at Fenway Park.
- Steve Harrington batted .250 in 132 at-bats with the Southampton Breakers in thr Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League.
- Zak Hermans went 4-2 with a 3.98 ERA in 11 games pitched for the Green Bay Bullfrogs in the Northwoods League. Hermans struck out 43 in 54.1 innings of work.
- Kevin Link was 4-0 with a 2.42 ERA and a save for the Danbury Westerners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
- John Mishu played in 33 games for the Vermont Mountaineers in the NECBL. He batted .226 with 24 hits in 106 at-bats. He also added 22 stolen bases.
- Blake Thomsen batted .291 in 17 games with the Orange County Pioneers in the California Collegiate League and played in the league's All-Star Game.
