September 20, 2011 | Men's Water Polo
Princeton is now a perfect 8-0 on the season after winning its first five games two weeks ago at the Princeton Invitational, and winning three times last weekend at the North-South Tournament.
In a 3-0 weekend for the Tigers, he tossed in two goals on four shots with an ejection drawn in a 15-4 win over Iona, tacked on a goal with an assist and a steal in a 16-3 victory against Connecticut College and registered two goals on four shots in a 13-6 win over Fordham.
Weber now stands tied for third on the team with nine goals and his five drawn ejections ranks second. Weber joins classmate Kayj Shannon, last week's Rookie of the Week, as Princeton rookies recognized by the league this season.
The Tigers' start is the program's best since the 2004 team opened its season with 10 consecutive wins on the way to capturing the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Eastern Championship. Princeton plays league games at Johns Hopkins, Navy and George Washington this weekend.
