No. 25 Men's Swimming/Diving Team Opens Ivy Slate With Tri-Meet At Penn
November 16, 2012 | Men's Swimming and Diving
Days after moving into the national rankings, the 25th-ranked Princeton men's swimming and diving team will travel to Sheerr Pool Saturday for an afternoon tri-meet against both Cornell and host Penn. Diving will begin at 1, while the swimming events start at 3:30.
This meet was also held at Sheerr Pool last season, and Princeton came away with a sweep. The Tigers topped Penn 168-112, and they handed Cornell a 192-88 defeat. Five Princeton freshmen earned individual victories for the Tigers, including two apiece for Harrison Wagner and David Paulk.
That should be a good sign for the weekend, as the current crop of Princeton freshmen showed its strength last weekend at the season-opening Big Al Open. Led by a three-event win by En-Wei Hu-Van Wright, the fifth-ranked Princeton Class of 2016 shined for the four-time reigning Ivy League champions.
