Mulroy and Servais Earn Ivy Weekly Honors

Behind a dominating offensive weekend, Princeton senior Sam Mulroy and freshman Tyler Servais earned Ivy League baseball weekly honors, announced by the conference Tuesday. Mulroy was named Player of the Week, while Servais took home Rookie of the Week honors. This is the first conference weekly recognition for both players.
Mulroy was instrumental in the Tigers winning their first series of the season over Richmond last weekend. The Princeton co-captain went 6-for-14 (.429), while tallying nine RBI, seven runs, two home runs and a double. In game two of the Tigers series against the Spiders, Mulroy tallied four hits, including a home run, a career-best six RBI and three runs. On the year, Mulroy is hitting .364 (16-for-44) in 10 straight starts.
Newcomer Servais has become a fixture in the Princeton lineup. In game one against the Spiders on Mar. 16, Servias went 2-for-4, hitting his first career home run and tallying four RBI. The Colorado native went 4-for-9 (.444) over the weekend series, behind seven RBI, five runs, two doubles, two walks and a homer. Servais has played in eight games this season, making six starts. He is hitting .292 (7-for-24), fourth best on the team.
The Tigers (4-6) are riding a two-game winning streak and will play No. 4 North Carolina tonight at 6 p.m., before squaring off with UNC Greensboro tomorrow at 6 p.m.
