Princeton women's basketball junior Niveen Rasheed picked up ECAC Women's Basketball All-Star First Team and Net Scouts All-America Honorable Mention accolades. Rasheed, the unanimous 2012 Ivy League Player of the Year and first team selection, is coming off a breakout season, where she helped guide the No. 24 Tigers to their third consecutive Ivy title and appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
After missing the second half of the 2010-11 season, Rasheed returned to action in dominating form. The Princeton forward finished the year averaging a team-leading 16.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. She also made a team-leading 84 assists and was tied for first in steals with 69.
Rasheed finished first in the Ivy League in scoring and rebounding, and in the top-10 in assists, free throw percentage and steals. In the nation, she is No. 65 in points per game and No. 74 in rebounds per game.
Princeton concluded the year with a 24-5 overall, 14-0 Ivy League record.
