Choi Co-Leads in South Carolina

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Princeton stands 11th and has two of the top four players on the individual leaderboard midway through the Low Country Intercollegiate in South Carolina.
Wonji Choi is in a three-way tie for first after an opening-round 74, one shot ahead of teammate Kelly Shon at a 3-over 75. Maria Luz Besio of Division II Newberry College and Alex Hendricks of host Wofford also turned in a 74 Sunday.
As a team, Princeton is 11th at +40, 15 shots back of leader Appalachian State.
Christine Kong is tied for 58th at +14 after an 86, with Joyce Kim tied for 71st at +21 after a 93, and Mary Funk is in 75th place after a first-round 97.
The second round of the two-round tournament will begin 9:30 a.m. Monday.
