Hermans Named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week, CB360 Primetime Performer

Princeton baseball pitcher Zak Hermans was named the season's first Ivy League Pitcher of the Week, announced Tuesday by the conference. Hermans' performance on the mound in the Tigers' season opener guided Princeton to an 11-4 victory over Florida Atlantic on Mar. 2.
Hermans threw 5.0 scoreless innings en route to opening the year 1-0. During that span, the junior tied a career-high with eight strikeouts, while giving up only two hits in 18 batters faced. The victory also marked the 10th win of Hermans' career, improving his all-time record to 10-5.
He was also named to the CollegeBaseball360.com Primetime Performers of the Week. Hermans is one of 12 players nationally selected to the list.
The Tigers (2-2) next head to Columbia, S.C. to play two-time defending National Champion South Carolina in a three-game series from Mar. 9-11.
