Princeton Men's Soccer Has Another Bumper Crop
Rich Fisher, The Trentonian (5/3/12)
"We had six freshmen see a lot of playing time in 2011, and several of them played even better in the spring," Barlow said. "We expect all of (the incoming freshmen) to compete for playing time right away. It's a diverse group from all over the country but they have all played in big games at a high level.
"It is also a balanced class in terms of positions. With a young nucleus of players returning, we are really excited about the 2012 team's potential."
Princeton fans should be encouraged by that. Much like Bob Bradley, his predecessor and mentor, the straight-shooting Barlow does not utter optimistic statements unless he believes them.
Looking at this year's seven-player class, it's easy to see where that optimism comes from as there are some true studs.
