Miller Earns First Career Ivy Player of the Week Accolade
December 09, 2013 | Women's Basketball
Coming off her team-leading 20-point performance at Navy, Princeton women's basketball sophomore Michelle Miller was named Ivy League Player of the Week for the first time in her career. The guard shares the weekly honor with Penn's Alyssa Baron.
Miller nearly eclipsed her career record of 21 points against the Midshipmen, establishing a new season-best mark with her game-high 20 points in Princeton's 73-57 win on Dec. 6.
She went 9-for-12 from the field, setting a new career mark in field goals made, added a career-high four assists and five boards over her 30 minutes of work in Annapolis, Md.
On the year, Miller is averaging 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game over eight starts.
Miller and the Tigers (4-4) conclude their four-game road swing Wednesday at Binghamton at 7 p.m.
