Former Tiger David Hale ?11 Earns First Major League Appointment

Former Princeton baseball pitcher David Hale '11 was called up for the first time in his career to the Atlanta Braves' Major League roster, it was announced Thursday by the club. A 2009 third round draft pick, Hale has spent his entire career with the organization.
The righty was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett where he had a 6-9 record, 3.22 ERA and 77 strikeouts spanning 114.2 innings over 22 games.
Hale, who pitched at Princeton from 2007-09, joins outfielder Will Venable '05 of the San Diego Padres and pitcher Ross Ohlendorf '04 of the Washington Nationals as current Tigers on active Major League rosters.
