Miller Earns Second Ivy Player of the Week Accolade
January 06, 2014 | Women's Basketball
For the second time this season Princeton women's basketball sophomore Michelle Miller has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Miller is coming off a career performance at Drexel helping the Tigers earn a 66-59 victory over the reigning WNIT champions. The guard scored a career and game-high 23 points, matching Princeton's first half point total. She went 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) from the field and was 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from downtown. Miller matched career-bests in both triples and rebounds (8) over her 32-minute performance.
The California native previously was named Ivy Player of the Week on Dec. 9 and shares the weekly honor with Penn's Katy Allen. Miller is averaging 10.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game over 14 starts.
Miller and the Tigers (9-5) open Ivy League play this Saturday, Jan. 11 at Penn (7-2) at 3 p.m.
