Men's Golf to Visit California for Final Fall Tournament

The final tournament of the fall for the Princeton men's golf team will bring the Tigers to California for the Alister MacKenzie Invitational to be held Monday and Tuesday.
The tournament, hosted by the University of California, will be held at the Meadow Club in Fairfax, California, which will measure 6,734 yards with a par of 71 for the event. Princeton and host Cal will share the course with Arizona State, BYU, Colorado, Hawai'i, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Saint Mary's, UC Davis and Washington State. Among those are 11 teams in the Golfweek top 100, with 19th-ranked Cal the top-ranked team in the field.
The teams will play 36 holes Monday beginning at 11:15 a.m. ET and 18 Tuesday beginning at 10:45 a.m. ET in Princeton's first visit to California for a tournament since The Prestige in La Quinta, California in fall 2006.
Five players have figured into Princeton's scoring four over the team's first two tournaments, including three freshmen and a sophomore. Among those rookies is Eric Mitchell, who will be coming off his first collegiate tournament win at Yale's MacDonald Cup on Oct. 5.
