Oct. 16 TigerCast: Sydney Kirby (FH) and Ian McGeary (FB)
October 16, 2014 | Field Hockey, Football, General
Prior to important home Ivy League matchups against Brown, Sydney Kirby (FH) and Ian McGeary (FB) join the Oct. 16 edition of TigerCast.
Kirby, a three-time All-Ivy League honoree, has five goals this season for a rebuilding Princeton field hockey team. Two years after starting for the Tigers' NCAA championship squad, Kirby is helping a youthful squad chase a 10th straight Ivy League title. That strecth continues Saturday at noon against Brown, and Kirby discusses the challenging season and the opportunity that Princeton still has over the next month.
McGeary is a junior defensive lineman for a Princeton football team that enters a six-week sprint through the Ivy League Saturday afternoon against Brown (3:30 pm). McGeary had a career-high five tackles last weekend at Colgate, and he has helped a run defense that ranks third nationally. He talks about Princeton's need to create more turnovers and the challenges of a Brown team currently on a two-game win streak.
