In the latest edition of TigerCast, cross country standouts Sam Pons and Kathryn Fluehr talk about the upcoming Heptagonal Championships, while sophomore safety Dorian Williams looks ahead to Saturday's football game at Cornell.
Pons, a senior on the men's team, was a Top-15 finisher overall when Princeton's own West Windsor Fields hosted the Ivy League championship event last year, but the Tigers fell just short in their chase for a fourth straight title. He will be looking to improve both the team and his own individual finish Saturday at noon when Heptagonals return to West Windsor Fields.
That race will follow the women's race, which begins at 11 am. Fluehr, a junior, placed 18th last year for a women's team that finished fourth overall. Princeton has had a strong season leading up to Saturday, and it has hopes for a strong finish this year. While also talking about the race, she also explains the circumstance that led to her being one year behind her twin sister and teammate, Erika.
Williams has averaged more than 10 tackles per game over the last three weeks for a Princeton football team that will try to get back on track Saturday at 12:30 pm against Cornell. The Tigers are 2-1 in the Ivy League, and will be looking for their first win at Schoellkopf Field since 2008 this weekend in a game being shown on FOX College Sports Atlantic.
