Hoffenberg Named CWPA Southern Division Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior Drew Hoffenberg of the Princeton University men's water polo team was named the CWPA Southern Division Player of the Week after helping the Tigers to an eighth Southern Championship.
Racking up 10 goals in three games, Hoffenberg also drew seven ejections and collected six assists, three steals and two blocks. Opening the weekend against Gannon, the senior scored on all three of his shots while dishing out four helpers.
Turning in another hat trick against Johns Hopkins, he drew two ejections and made a pair of blocks. Closing out the week against Bucknell in the Southern Championship title game, he netted four goals on eight shots with two assists, two drawn ejections and a steal.
Scoring at least three goals in five consecutive games, Hoffenberg currently leads the team in goals (57) while ranking second in assists (24) and steals (38). With 233 career goals to his credit, he ranks fourth on the program's all-time charts and is also second in assists (125). He is the only Tiger to ever record at least 200 goals and 100 helpers.
