COMPLETE BRACKETS
A smaller group of Tigers made their way to East Stroudsburg this weekend for the 48th annual ESU Open. Among the Tiger highlights were a pair of fourth-place finishes for two potential starters.
Junior Judd Ziegler has represented Princeton twice at the EIWA Championships, and he is battling for the starting spot at 174 this year. He won his first four matches in the championship draw, then lost 3-2 to Navy's John Keck, the eventual weight class champion. Ziegler advanced to the third-place match before falling to fourth.
The one-point loss to Keck was tied for the closest match for the Navy wrestler during the day. He had an earlier 3-2 win over Princeton's Troy Murtha, another contender for the 174-pound spot. Murtha won three consolation draw matches before defaulting due to injury.
Freshman Francesco Fabozzi, a potential starter at 157 this season, won seven matches en route to a fourth-place finish at his weight class. He won twice in the championship draw, then took five straight in the consolation round before falling in the third-place match.
Junior Nick Maselli had a strong day at 149, winning twice in the main draw and three times in the consolation draw, but he finished one match short of the third-place showdown. Sophomore Ray O'Donnell went 5-2, losing in the main draw to the eventual champion and in the consolation draw by one point to the eventual third-place winner.

Princeton will head to Annapolis Saturday for the 2014 Navy Classic. The Tigers gave an early glimpse at how improved they were last season with a third-place finish at this event.
