| Princeton led by as many as 11 points Saturday night at Cal, but a cold-shooting second half sunk the Tigers' chance at the program's first win over a Pac-12 school since the 1996 NCAA Tournament upset of UCLA. Cal scored 13 straight points and held Princeton scoreless for 9:36 during the second half as the Bears came away with a 67-57 win. Princeton made its first eight field goals, and while Cal started strong from the field as well, the Tigers led 20-10 with six minutes gone in the game. Princeton had its largest lead of 11 points at 29-18 with eight-plus minutes to go in the half, and although the Bears whittled that to as low as five points, Spencer Weisz beat the halftime buzzer with a 3-pointer from the top of the key to put the Tigers up 37-28 at the break. Princeton ended the half shooting 61 percent from the field and made 8 of 14 3-point tries, but the Bears hung around thanks to shooting 60 percent from the floor during the half. The second half was another story, as Princeton shot 34.8 percent after the break, including 2 of 11 from 3-point range. Cal used the 13-0 run to turn a 44-36 deficit into a 47-44 lead, and although Princeton was within two as late as 53-51 with 2:46 to go, the Tigers were never able to close the gap. |

After an offensive foul on Princeton with just less than two minutes to go in the game and Cal up four points, the Bears' Tyrone Wallace drove to the rim and was fouled, converting the chance to put his team up 58-51 with 1:24 to go. |
