• This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Princeton and Wake Forest and the second in Winston-Salem. The teams played in a Kentucky-hosted tournament in 1963 (Wake Forest won), at the Jimmy V Classic at the Meadowlands in 1997 (Princeton won), and for the first time in Winston-Salem in 2005 (Wake Forest won).
• In Princeton's win over Wake Forest in 1997, Mitch Henderson and Brian Earl each played 40 minutes, the only players on either team to do so, as No. 19 Princeton beat the No. 23-ranked Demon Deacons 69-64. Earl had a game-high 18 points and Henderson nearly had a double-double with 14 points and nine assists.
• This will be Mitch Henderson's second trip to Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum and first as a coach. He and Brian Earl and the rest of the 1997 Tigers fell to Cal 55-52 in the building in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Northwestern did not face Wake Forest during his tenure there.
• Wake Forest head coach Danny Manning has not faced Princeton while a player at Kansas or on the staff at Kansas or Tulsa. This is his first season at Wake Forest.
• Wake Forest will face Princeton coaches back-to-back after taking on Richmond and Chris Mooney '94 last Sunday.
• Both Princeton and Wake Forest have used a young lineup this season. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors have accounted for 91 percent of Wake Forest's minutes and 85 percent of Princeton's this season.
• Wake Forest has waited one year longer than Princeton to return to the NCAA Tournament. While Princeton last made the dance in 2011, Wake last did so in 2010. Both teams were defeated by Kentucky in their last NCAA Tournament games, Princeton in the Round of 64 in 2011 and Wake Forest in the Round of 32 in 2010.
• Princeton is 4-0 when getting at least seven steals and 1-8 when getting six or fewer. The Tigers are also 4-1 when getting at least 13 turnovers and 1-7 when opponents turn the ball over fewer than 13 times.
• Princeton is 4-0 when holding opponents below 60 points and 1-8 when opponents get to 60.
• Princeton ended a nine-game skid against ACC schools with a Dec. 30, 2011 triple-overtime win at Florida State. This will be Princeton's first game against an ACC school at the time of the game since that contest at FSU.
• Princeton averages nine 3-pointers per game, and Wake Forest has allowed only two opponents, Iona (13) and Minnesota (12), as many as nine 3-pointers. Wake Forest lost both games. Last time out against Richmond, Wake Forest allowed fellow Tiger alum Chris Mooney's team just a 2-of-19 clip from distance, or .105 percent, and that was only the second-lowest for a Wake opponent this year. Tulane was 1 of 20 (.050) from 3-point range back on Nov. 17.
• Princeton has made at least 10 3-pointers in five of the last six games after doing so in only one of the first seven games.
• Princeton ranks seventh in Division I through Saturday's games in 3-pointers made (119) and ninth in 3-point attempts at 310. Princeton leads the Ivy in those categories, plus assist-to-turnover ratio (1.11), 3s per game (9.2), 3FG percentage (.384) and turnover margin (0.5).
• No Ivy Leaguer has played more minutes than Spencer Weisz, at 460. Weisz's total was the 17th-highest in the nation through Saturday's games.
• Princeton appeared to turn a corner defensively over the last two-game homestand, allowing Lipscomb and Liberty a combined .367 clip from the floor. It was the first time this season Princeton held back-to-back opponents below 40 percent from the field.
• Princeton has allowed its last three opponents (Cal, Lipscomb, Liberty) just a .167 clip (5-30) from beyond the arc.
• Princeton has been outrebounded in five straight games and hasn't been outrebounded in more than five straight games since a six-game stretch in Feb. 2009. The Tigers will look to break that skid against a Wake Forest team that has outrebounded its opponents by 8.7 rpg this season.
• Princeton's top five scorers are non-seniors, with sophomore Spencer Weisz, junior Hans Brase, freshman Amir Bell and sophomores Steven Cook and Pete Miller. The last time the Tigers finished the season with no seniors among the top five in scoring was 2009-10, when sophomore Douglas Davis, junior Dan Mavraides, freshman Ian Hummer, junior Kareem Maddox and sophomore Patrick Saunders were in the top five.
• The Tigers' youth movement is in full effect. Princeton has started one junior (Hans Brase), three sophomores (Pete Miller, Spencer Weisz, Steven Cook) and one freshman (Amir Bell) in each of the last nine games. Over the first four games this season, seniors averaged 48.3 minutes per game. In the last nine games, the seniors have collectively played no more than 30 minutes in a contest.
• Of Princeton's 855 points so far, 747, or 87 percent, have been scored by non-seniors. Princeton's top five scorers on per-game average are non-seniors, and four of those are freshmen or sophomores (Weisz, Cook, Miller, Bell).
• Spencer Weisz is leading the team in scoring at 13.2 ppg. The last sophomore (or younger) to end the season leading the team in scoring was in the 2009-10 season when Douglas Davis '12 averaged 12.7 ppg. Since: Kareem Maddox '11 in 2010-11, Ian Hummer '13 in 2011-12 and 2012-13, and T.J. Bray '14 in 2013-14.
• Princeton coach Mitch Henderson is presently ninth on the program's all-time wins list, but seventh place isn't far off. He's now at 63 wins, behind predecessor Sydney Johnson (66) and John Thompson III (68). Both are fellow Tiger alumni, Johnson (head coach from 2007-11) in the Class of 1997 and Thompson (head coach from 2000-04) in the Class of 1988.
• In 58 Ivy League seasons, Princeton has posted 52 winning Ivy seasons, four 7-7 finishes and just two losing records.

• Wake Forest was picked 12th in the 15-team ACC in the league's preseason media poll. The Demon Deacons are under new head coach Danny Manning, the 15-year NBA veteran who served as an assistant coach at his alma mater Kansas, then a two-season head coach at Tulsa before moving to Wake Forest. At Tulsa, the Golden Hurricane were Conference USA champs in 2014, advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
• Wake Forest is 5-1 when reaching 70 points and 2-5 when it doesn't, though the two sub-70-point wins have come in Wake's last two games against Bucknell and Richmond. Wake is also 6-0 when shooting at least 41 percent from the field and 1-6 when shooting below 41 percent. When Wake makes at least 1/3 of its 3-point attempts, the Deacons are 6-1, and Wake is 1-5 when it does not.
• When opponents hit 28 points by halftime, Wake Forest is 2-6, but the Deacons are 5-0 when opponents get 27 or fewer at the half. Wake is 7-1 when opponents are held below 70 points and 0-5 when opponents reach 70. Wake is 5-0 when holding opponents to 40 percent or less from the field and 2-6 when opponents shoot better than 40 percent. Wake is 6-0 when opponents make 1/4 or fewer of their 3-point tries and 1-6 when foes make at least 1/4 of their shots from distance.
• Through Saturday's games, Wake Forest was fifth in the nation in free throw attempts at 340 (now 352) and 10th in makes at 220 (now 227). Devin Thomas was eighth in the nation in defensive rebounds per game (7.42, now 7.38), 18th in total rebounds (113, now 126) and 23rd in rebounds per game (9.4, now 9.7).
• The Deacons figure to be boosted by the return of freshman Mitchell Wilbekin, who had been suspended for the past three games. Wilbekin started seven of the 10 games in which he played and leads the team with 17 3-pointers. He is the team's fourth-leading scorer at 7.6 ppg.
• Nine Wake Forest players have started a game this season and only two, Codi Miller-McIntyre and Devin Thomas, have started all 13 games. Those two players are also the only Demon Deacons averaging double-figure points, at 13.4 ppg for Miller-McIntyre and 10.7 ppg for Thomas.

| Mitch Henderson '98 is in his third season as Princeton's head coach. His overall record at Princeton is 63-40. Under Henderson, Princeton is 34-9 at home, 28-14 in the Ivy League, and 18-3 in the Ivy League at home. Princeton is 50-13 when leading at the half under Henderson. Henderson is the first Princeton coach since John Thompson III '88 (2000-04) to have winning seasons in each of his first three campaigns. He is the sixth Princeton coach to accomplish that, following Frederick Luehring (1912-20), Butch van Breda Kolff '44 (1962-67), Pete Carril (1967-96), Bill Carmody (1996-2000) and Thompson III '88 (2000-04). Henderson is in ninth place on the Princeton all-time wins list, with predecessor Sydney Johnson '97 in eighth with 66 wins over four seasons. Henderson was a second-team All-Ivy Leaguer in 1998, an honorable mention All-Ivy Leaguer in 1997, and was a two-time Ivy Rookie of the Week in 1994-95. Henderson graduated as the fourth-leading assist man in program history (kept since 1974-75) and is now sixth, having been surpassed by two of his players, Ian Hummer '13 and T.J. Bray '14. Henderson graduated fifth in career steals (kept since 1974-75) and is now ninth, having been passed by former teammate Gabe Lewullis '99, current San Diego Padre Will Venable '05, Marcus Schroeder '10 and his former player T.J. Bray '14. Henderson is one of six Princeton alumni who are current Division I head coaches, including John Thompson III '88 (Georgetown), Joe Scott '87 (Denver), Mike Brennan '94 (American), Chris Mooney '94 (Richmond) and Sydney Johnson '97 (Fairfield). Prior to Princeton, Henderson coached at Northwestern for 11 seasons under his final head coach at Princeton, Bill Carmody, from 2000-11. |
