PRINCETON, N.J. – Off to the best start in Ivy League history, the Princeton University women's basketball team will host a Camper Appreciation Day for its match-up against Georgetown University on Saturday, Dec. 6. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
Free admission will be offered to all campers, who will also be recognized at halftime. Prior to the start of the game, a bounce house and face painting will be available to those in attendance. The Tigers will also take part in a postgame autograph session.
The only Ivy team to ever start the year 7-0, Princeton received votes in the Associated Press top-25 poll for the first time since March 18, 2013. In the latest NCAA RPI Rankings released on Dec. 2, the Tigers rank ninth in the country while sitting 13th in the Jeff Sagarin/CBN Women's Basketball Rating.
In the NCAA statistical rankings, Princeton is 11th in the nation in scoring defense (51.0 ppg). Sitting 20th in field goal percentage defense (32.9), the Orange and Black are 24rd in three-point field goal percentage (39.4), 33rd in scoring margin (+18.3), 36th in field goal percentage (45.7) and 41st in rebounding margin (+8.3).
