Women's Squash Moves To 8-3 With Sweep At Columbia

Princeton won 27 of 29 individual games, but Eyre had to fight hard for her win during the second shift of matches. After wins of 12-10 and 10-6, Eyre fell in a pair of close games (11-8 and 12-10). The All-America showed her resolve in the fifth, taking control early for an 11-1 win.
Though there would be a few close games, the rest of the match belonged to Princeton. The Tigers won the remaining eight matches by 3-0 scores, including a win for freshman Maria Elena Ubina at the No. 1 position; she defeated Colette Sultana 11-3, 11-4, 11-8.
Junior Hallie Dewey remained unbeaten on the season with a 3-0 win at the No. 6 spot, and she lost only 12 points in her match. Senior Alex Sawin dropped only 13 in a win at No. 7, while both Nicole Bunyan (No. 3) and Alex Lunt (No. 5) dropped no more than 15 in their wins.
Princeton will close out its home schedule Sunday at noon when it hosts Cornell. The match will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network, with all nine matches being shown on Courts 1-3.
