Ivy Play to Arrive This Weekend for Softball

After 20 games to get ready, the Princeton softball season will effectively start anew Friday when Ivy League play begins. The Tigers were 5-15 through their pre-conference schedule and recorded four of those five wins on the team's recent spring trip to California that wrapped last Sunday.

All 19 players on the roster, including all five freshmen, have seen game action. Though rookie Haley Hineman is the only player to have started all 20 games, all 19 players have made a start. Junior Rachel Rendina leads the team with 14 hits on the season, though 15 Tigers have recorded a hit including every player with at least six at-bats.
Two pitchers, both with more than half of their college career to go, have emerged as Princeton's innings leaders. Sophomore Shanna Christian is 2-6 with a 5.62 ERA in 42 1/3 innings and freshman Erica Nori is 3-3 with a 1.89 ERA in 40 2/3 innings.
