The Princeton baseball team (0-3) will head to Port St. Lucie, Fla. to square off with Michigan (4-8-1) in a four-game series at the New York Mets' Spring Training facility at Tradition Field No. 5.
Last Time Out:
• Despite battling inclement weather, the Tigers were able to play three games at UC Santa Barbara last weekend to kick off the year.
• Princeton saw big contributions from its newcomers, but ultimately was swept by the Gauchos.
• Game two of the series saw serious offensive output from the Tigers, as they scored 10 runs on 10 hits, but a late rally by UCSB would be too much in the 18-10 loss.
On Deck: Princeton will take off on its annual Spring Trip through the Mid-Atlantic for 10 games versus five different teams from Mar. 15-23.

Hernandez Named Ivy Rookie of the Week:
• After leading the offense in his debut weekend, first baseman Nick Hernandez was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
• Hernandez is coming off a 5-for-11 three-game slate at UC Santa Barbara.
• The freshman sports a .455 batting average, ranking fourth in the Ivy League, and added two runs, two RBI, a double and a walk over the series.
• He started all three games, bookending it at first base and served as Princeton's designated hitter in game two.
Leading the Pack: Seniors A.J. Goetz, Michael Fagan and Alec Keller will serve as tri-captains this season for the Tigers.
Newcomers Make Debuts:
• Princeton saw eight freshmen make their debut this weekend, with seven earning at least one start.
• Freshmen Nick Hernandez and Danny Baer pace the offense, both holding batting averages in the .400s.
Fagan's Solid Start:
• Michael Fagan earned the starting nod to open the year at UC Santa Barbara, tossing five solid innings.
• During that span, he struck out five and scattered four hits and a lone earned run.
• Fagan currently leads the Tiger rotation with a 1.80 ERA and held Gaucho batters to a .211 average against him.
Scouting Michigan:
• Michigan enters this weekend's series with a 4-8-1 overall record.
• The Wolverines are riding a two-game winning streak after earning back-to-back wins on Mar. 4 and 5 at Florida Gulf Coast and UCF to open their stint in the Sunshine State.
• Jackson Glines leads the UM offense with a .345 batting average (19-for-55) and nine RBI, seven runs, five doubles and two triples.
• On the mound, Ben Ballantine (1-0) has a 0.95 ERA over three starts. He's pitched 19 innings and struck out 17 batters and has two earned runs against.
All-Time versus Michigan:
• Princeton owns the all-time series versus Michigan, 5-0.
• The series was established in 1892 and it has been 100 years since the two programs squared off, a 5-4 Tiger win in Princeton in 1914.
